The Eighth Story. Nineteen Years Later.
Based
on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany,
a new play by Jack Thorne, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the
eighth story in the Harry Potter series and the first official Harry
Potter story to be presented on stage. The play will receive its world
premiere in London’s West End on July 30, 2016.
It was always
difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an
overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of
three school-age children.
While Harry grapples with a past that
refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle
with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present
fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth:
sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.

I
was so excited when I heard that this part will be published. I didn’t
care for the form I just wanted a new Harry Potter book. There is a
saying: “Be careful what you wish for, you may GET IT!”. It’s evident
that this hasn’t been written by her majesty J.K.Rowling but based on
her work. Why am I so mad you may ask. Well, I’m not mad but
disappointed. The characters are not those caracters we love. Harry is a
douche father, Ron is a joke and Hermione… Hermione is cool but there
is no more that sassy and zesty Hermione we all know and love. I know
they are older but some things never change. Albus is a bit emo son,
nobody loves him and so and so. He and Harry doesn’t get along. He hates
being a son of famous Potter. He finds a friend in little Scorpios –
Draco Malfoy’s son and allegedly son of Voldemort himself. This is
spoiler free review so I won’t get in more details but focus on one
thing – VOLDEMORT’S CHILD! Come on! Let’s be serious. Anyone rings a
bell – time travel, Voldemort’s child, fanfiction. No, I can’t. I just
can’t. Part of somebodies fanficition is now a canon. And not just any
fanfiction but My immortal and Ebony (Enoby) (Eboby). Also I know there
is no connection with that story but still I have that felling.
There
are some things I love. I love that story lives. The spirit of Harry
Potter, friendship and love lives and it will be told and read by
generations.
And here are some quotes from this story I liked:
“If you answer the gossip, you feed the gossip.”
“Sometime costs are made to be borne”
“…, but the lesson even your father sometimes failed to heed is that bravery doesn’t forgive stupidity”
“Harry,
there is never a perfect answer in this messy, emotional world.
Perfection is beyond the reach of humankind, beyond the reach of magic.
In every shining moment of happiness is that drop of poison: the
knowledge that pain will come again. Be honest to those you love, show
your pain. To suffer is as human as to breathe.”
XOXO
